Recommendation for a Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack for a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2010 Acura TL
Question:
I have a Thule 4 bike rack with a 2 inch mount. I need to find a hitch for my 2010 Acura TL sedan. The only hitchs recommended for the Acura are 1 1/4 size. Does the 2 inch Thule rack slip over the Curt hitch 1 1/4 or do I need to find a hitch with a 2 inch mount?

You are correct about the hitch sizes for the 2010 Acura TL. All of the available trailer hitches for your car will be 1-1/4 inch, Class I hitches. You will need to use a bike rack that is designed to work with a Class I trailer hitch. Your Thule 4 bike rack that is designed to fit a 2 inch trailer hitch will not fit a Class I, 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch.
Since all of the available trailer hitches for your Acura are Class I hitches, you will be limited to carrying only 2 bikes. There are numerous options for 2 bike racks that fit a 1-1/4 inch, Class I trailer hitch. For Thule, I recommend the Camber Bike Carrier, # TH9058. This rack features a tilting design to give you greater access to the rear of the vehicle, and anti-sway cradles to keep the bikes from rocking back and forth.
