Can ST175/80R13 be Replaced with ST185/80R13

Question:

I want to replace the ST175/80R D 8 tires on my trailer with the Loadmaster ST185/80R D 8 tires. I want the higher load and speed ratings of the wider tire. Is this a good idea?

The tire size ST185/80-13 that you are interested in will fit the same wheel dimensions as your old tire size so this would be a great option as long as you have the additional clearance needed for the slightly larger tire size. It will be .3 inches taller and 10 mm wider. So realistically you shouldn't have a problem at all.

So long story short the part # AM10210 you are interested in will fit your rim. This is a Load Range D like you said you wanted with a capacity of 1,610 lbs at 65 psi. It also has an 81 mph speed rating.
