Recommended Rightline Cargo Bag for 2013 Honda Odyssey With 45 x 29 Crossbar Space
Question:
Your comments on suitability of RL100S20 for this minivan with the factory installed roof rack. The space between the horizontal rack is 45 inches wide and 29 inches front to back. Does this roof bag need a blanket under it to prevent marking the surface. I understand both surfaces need to be clean. presumably we would secure the bag to the rack. Is this sufficient? Is there anything else I need to get or havent thought about. Thanks

Since the Rightline Sport # RL100S20 that you referenced is 44 x 34 inches you will have to either tuck in 5 inches of material or lay them on top of your 2013 Honda Odyssey's roof rack. If you would rather have a cargo bag that fits a little better, Rightline made the Sport Jr. # RL100S50 which is 36 x 30 inches. Both of these options are 16 inches tall.
Even though the cargo bags shouldn't harm your roof, Rightline has their Non-Skid Roof Protection Pad # RL100650 that you can use just to make sure and to put your mind at ease. If it always good practice to clean off any surfaces that will be touched by equipment that you use on any vehicle just like you said.
If you would like to add a little security to your Rightline cargo bag you can use the Cable Lock for Rightline Cargo Bags # RL100640.
The only other thing that I recommend doing is checking the owner's manual for your 2013 Honda Odyssey for your roof weight capacity as you do not want to exceed that limit.
