Recommended Bike Rack for 2 Electra Townie Bikes on 2016 Volvo XC60 with 2 inch Trailer Hitch

To transport your 2 Electra Townie bikes with the 2 inch trailer hitch on your 2016 Volvo XC60, I recommend looking at the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Platform Rack # KU74FR. This is a great, platform-style rack that will make for easy loading and unloading of your bikes. It can be tilted away from your vehicle, with the bikes still loaded, for easy rear cargo access. I like this particular style rack for your bikes because the Electra Townies have a unique top tube that sits very low, which may make mounting to a more traditional rack that uses the top tube difficult. This carrier instead uses ratcheting hooks that will grab onto the front wheels, without the need for any frame contact.
The carrier can hold up to 2 bikes at 40 pounds each. Based on my research, the Electra Townie bikes weigh around 35 pounds, so the capacity on this rack should be perfect. The actual weight of this rack is right around 47 pounds.
