Trailer Wiring Harness Does Not Work After Installation on a 2015 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Hi, i purchased the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # 118521 for my 2015 Honda Odyssey and followed your video to install it. I even purchased a Curt LED 4-Way Flat Connector Vehicle End Tester Item # I26 to test the wiring after my installation was done but as soon as i connected it to test, the LED light came up for a second and went away and t never worked. Not sure if the tester was blown out or my wiring was incorrect.. One this i did different to what was shown in the video was, instead of screw the ground wire i used an electrical tape to stick it in the same place as shown in the video. I was unable to drill it into the metal so did it this way, not sure if that made a lot of difference. Appreciate any suggestions for my issue...i rented a uhaul trailer for this weekend and need to get this working. Thanks.

It does sound like a weak ground connection. Instead of drilling into the sheet metal of your 2015 Honda Odyssey look for a nearby screw or bolt already in the area and try that location. Make sure any paint or coating is removed because you will need a bare metal surface on which to attach the ground wire.
