How to Find Replacement Hub Assembly for Trailer
Question:
Can I buy a new hub for this spindle?

In order to find the correct replacement hub assembly for your trailer, you will first want to note the bolt pattern on your existing hubs. I have attached an article that explains how to determine this.
You will then need to locate the bearing numbers on your hub assembly. These numbers should be stamped onto the bearings themselves, but if you cannot locate them, you can also measure the spindle on your trailer at various locations. I have attached an image that shows what measurements are needed. I recommend using a digital caliper like # PTW80157 because the measurements will need to be as accurate as possible.
You will also want to locate the axle capacity on your trailer, as this will help to narrow down the possible options.
For example, the etrailer.com Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-K has a # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearing. This hub fits 3,500 pound axles and has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern.
I have included a link that will take you to our available selection of hub assemblies as well as a couple of articles that you may find helpful.
