RM-766 Do you need to disconnect the battery on the Chevrolet Colorado vehicle before connecting the wiring harness from the motorhome to the truck for flat towing?

According to the online owner's manual for the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, you will need to disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery and secure the nut and bolt before flat towing the truck. It states that failure to do this may cause damage to the vehicle.

When installing the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 referenced in your question, you will first follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions to disconnect the negative battery cable. Then from there you will install the solenoid and cables for this system.
