Replacement Spring Bars for Equal-I-zer Weight Distribution System
Question:
I purchased an equalizer 10k hitch from you two years ago. Im getting a new trailer and it has tongue and gross weight rating thats near the top end of what the 10k can handle. avg 997 for tongue weight and gvwr of 9995. My question is, should I be considering an upgrade to my hitch. If so, what needs to be upgraded ive see replacement heads, for example for the equalizer hitch, separate from the rest of the assembly... Thanks!

Weight distribution systems can be fitted with differently-rated spring bars to allow them to work well with varying trailer tongue weight (TW). The ideal is that your fully-loaded trailer's actual measured TW (we offer a scale # e99044) plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle together will fall in the middle of the bars' weight range.
I linked our main page for all Equal-I-zer brand spring bars which are available for TWs from 400- up to 1400-lbs. For example, for a TW between 1000- and 1400-lbs you can use spring bars # EQ90-01-1499. This saves you the expense of replacing the entire system.
