For your 2008 Toyota Camry XLE with 2.4 liter engine, I would recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13501. This would be an excellent choice for your vehicle and will install in front of the air conditioning condenser, see drawing at right for best location, as long as there is space available. This coolers dimensions are 11 inches Wide x 5-3/4 inches tall x 7/8 inches deep. I have posted a drawing, at right, showing a typical installation for you. We also have a video installation that may help you with your installation, see link.
The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13503, that you mentioned would give you maximum cooling capacity and will work on your vehicle as long as there is room to mount it. This coolers dimensions are 11 inches Wide x 8-3/4 inches tall x 7/8 inches deep.
Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific, so as long as you have room in front of the air conditioning condenser to install a cooler, you will need to measure the space available on your vehicle, you can install a cooler. You cannot cool transmission fluid too much so the largest cooler available, that will fit, is the best choice. The only consideration is that, if the maximum cooling capacity cooler is selected, you should allow the vehicle to warm a bit when extremely cold temperatures are encountered and the vehicle has sat over night or for longer periods.
