Do the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapters Work in Short Bed Trucks

Will this adapter work on a shortbox? Will it have enough clearance or would I need an offset?

You can use 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter # CAB-C5G or # CAB-C5GX1216 with a short bed truck but neither adapter moves the pivot point of the trailer so no extra turning clearance is gained. The offset model only provides additional space between the back of the truck and the trailer but since the trailer still pivots at the ball only a very minimal amount of additional turning clearance is gained.

If you can tell me the brand of the gooseneck hitch in your truck there may be other options that will offer a true offset and increase turning clearances.
