For your 2017 Dodge Durango and your 2016 Corn Pro 2 Horse Trailer, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This brake controller is a proportional system that will allow you to apply the brakes on your trailer with the same intensity and at the same time as you hit the brake pedal in your new Durango. It has an easy to read and understand LCD screen that takes code deciphering out of the equation. There are 3 levels of boost and it is customizable to your driving preferences.
This installation is a simple plug and play using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # TK93VR. This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
