Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Compatibility With 2008 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
Tekonsha 90885 on your website says its compatible with a 2008 GMC Sierra extended cab 1500. When I checked the fit online it says it is not compatible. Can you confirm it will work? Thanks.

Brake controllers like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 90885 are not vehicle specific fits. This controller will absolutely work with your 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab. No plug is present under the dash, but the wires are already run for you under the dash. They are located below the steering column, left of the brake pedal and are normally wrapped in white tape. I've attached some articles to help.
If you don't already have the 7-way connector, I recommend the Pollak 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket w/ Wiring Harness and Mounting Bracket # PK11898. If you already have the round connector above your spare, then I recommend using the Replacement Custom Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors # 30955 instead.
