How to Test Trailer Breakaway Switch for Proper Function

Question:

exactly how would you know if the breakaway switch needs to be replaced I have one on a fifth wheel camper that is several years old but I do not have any problems with it that I can tell.

If you are concerned about the performance of your older trailer breakaway kit you can test it by following the process outlined in the linked article.
