Does the Curt 2 inch Bumper Hitch # E-3S work on a 1995 Silverado Short-bed 1500
Question:
My 1995 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton doesnt have a hitch on it and Id like to put one on it to pull our popup camper. It does have a dual exhaust system and so putting the average hitch on it wont work unless I re-route the exhaust system. I dont want to do that. Will the E-3S work as a solution?

Expert Reply:
The Curt 2 inch Bumper Mounted Hitch, 5,000 lbs GTW, item # E-3S, will work for towing up to the 5,000 pound gross trailer weight rating and 500 pound tongue weight rating of the hitch or the capacity of your truck step bumper, whichever is lowest.
You should check the capacities of your step bumper and the gross trailer weight and tongue weight of the trailer you will be pulling to be sure it is within the capacity of the hitch and bumper.
I have provided installation instructions for you to review.
