Recommended Bike Rack And Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2015 VW Beetle Convertible

I am looking for a bike carrier for my 2015 Volkswagen convertible beetle but keep finding ones that say compatible with beetle but Hardtop without panoramic roof. Didnt see way to specify convertible. I dont have a hitch so would need one that fits over trunk. Do you sell any like this?

There is not a confirmed fit of any trunk mounted bike rack from any of our manufacturers for your 2015 VW Beetle Convertible. The manufacturers say that the trunk cannot support the weight, so that is why our fit guide doesn't have an option for you.

I recommend you add a hitch to your vehicle so you can use a hitch mounted bike rack. For a hitch receiver, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11354 which is a confirmed fit for your vehicle as long as long as you do not have the R-line model or the ADBlue DEF tank. For a bike rack I recommend the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting # S64683. This rack allows you to secure the rack to the hitch with a locking anti-rattle pin and lock your bikes to the rack with the ratcheting hook locks. The carrier weights just 47 lbs and can carry bikes up to 45 lbs each.
