7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for 2013 Honda Pilot

Question:

I installed a wiring harness for my 2013 honda pilot to tow basic trailers with flat four terminus, now I want to tow a camper with electric breaks. I need to swap out the flat four for a connector ending in a 7 blade connector. Do I have to replace all the wiring apparatus controller, fuses etc. or can I just swap out the flat four portion back to the connection under the vehicle for a 7 blade connector? Id rather not have to buy the whole wiring harness kit again. What part number for just the 7 blade connector and wires?

The only way we offer for you to install a 7-way on your 2013 Honda Pilot and use the factory wiring is with the part # 118265. I wish we offered just the 7-way harness by itself but that's the only way we have it.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.

The install harness you need then is the part # 3070-P which will attach the brake controller to the port under the dash of your Pilot.
