Where Does Fascia have to be Trimmed to Install Trailer Hitch on a 2017 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen

I just bought the 2017 Golf sport wagon. What are the dimensions of the hole that needs to be cut into the bumper, Does that show up on the directions? And I live in the Columbia, MD location, Any recommendations on places to have the hitch installed. Thanks so much for your help

The area on the 2017 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen that needs to be trimmed to install Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24949 is covered in the instructions which I have linked. I also included a picture showing this step from the instructions. Any trusted mechanic or RV dealer with a service center can install the hitch. I recommend calling around to see what different places charge for labor.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
