Will Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Block Drive Assist Sensors or Camera on 2015 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen

Question:

I am wondering if this bar would interfere with the driver assistance points on the bumper? Also I dont think it would interfere with back up camera but checking. Do you recommend any installers in Minneapolis

Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24949 will not interfere with any of the sensors at the back of your 2015 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen. The hitch itself would not interfere with a backup camera but if you have something in the hitch such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then that could partially block the view. Any trusted mechanic or RV dealer with a service center can install the hitch. I would call around to see what different places charge in labor.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
