Compatibility of the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit on a 2006 Tidewater Single Axle Boat Trailer
Question:
I have a 2006 tidewater single axle roller boat trailer with Kodak 225 calipers with ez lube bearings. I want to use K2HR35DS kit to replace the rotors, bearing, calipers and seals. Can this fit? What else is suggested?

Before you can decide on installing the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit, # K2HR35DS, you will need to find the spindle size on your trailer's axle. Knowing the size of the spindle surfaces or the bearing numbers that are currently installed will make sure you receive the correct bearing sizes for the disc brake hubs.
The attached picture shows were the bearing numbers are located and what measurements are needed to find the correct fit.
Also, knowing what bolt pattern you have for your current discs will match the brake kit rotors is also important. The kite disc brake rotors has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch wheel bolt pattern. I have attached an article that will explain how to find your wheel bolt pattern on you current trailer axle hub.
You should also inspect or replace the brake hoses on your trailer. Kodiak offers a Hydraulic Brake Line Kit, # 18SI-BLKIT, that is a fit for a single trailer axle.
I also recommend # L11465 wheel bearing grease, # L30200 grease gun(if you do not already have one, and # L70025 LubriMatic Deluxe Bearing Packer.
I have also linked a video that shows installation of a Kodiak Brake Kit for you to review.
