How to Carry 3 Bikes on a 2012 Hyundai Sonata

hi, can I use the Kuat 3 on a hyundai Sonata 2012 and class I hitch?

Expert Reply:
No. Class I trailer hitches are only rated for 2 bikes maximum. The issue isn't the weight but the distance the weight is from the receiver. A third or more bikes would put too much weight too far from a Class I hitch receiver and can damage it and/or the vehicle.
Another option is a trunk mount bike rack such as the Thule Passage # TH911XT. This rack will hold 3 bikes and you will not need a trailer hitch.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
