Wiring your Subaru Sambar to be flat towed by your 1990 Holiday Rambler motor home will require the installation of diodes inline with the Sambar taillight wiring. You will need to start with a diode kit like the Tail Light Isolating Diode System with Wiring Harness, item # 38955.
We have detailed instructions for wiring a towed vehicle, see link, and I have attached a diagram, see link at right, that shows how to wire the towed vehicle. We also have a video installation for you to review, which details installation of the wiring harness. The physical installation and vehicle wire colors will be different, but the wiring will be the same on your mini truck. A circuit tester, item # PTW2993, will be needed to determine the correct wires to make connections inline on the vehicle.
