How to Find Replacement Trailer Hub Assembly for Dual Axle Trailer with 6 on 5-1/2 Bolt Pattern

I have a dual axle trailer with two unknown make/model axles. They both have 3inch tubes and 6x5.5inch bolt patterns. One has electric brakes measuring 12inch with a 5 bolt mounting pattern and the other has no brakes. The axle with no brakes has the numbers 82655, 16931, and CGR 2A on the back of the hub, both have 2.44inch grease caps. The axles are not EZ lube and I believe to be either 5.2 or 6k axles. I would like to replace the hubs and brakes but wanted to ensure the proper fit. How can I determine the brand?

To ensure you get the correct replacement hubs for your trailer, you will need to find either the bearing numbers on your existing hub assembly or you can measure the spindle if these cannot be found. The bearing numbers should be stamped onto the bearings themselves. I have attached an image that shows what numbers or dimensions are needed. When measuring the spindle, I recommend using a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to get the most accurate measurement possible.

For example, the etrailer.com Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly 5,200 Pound and 6,000 Pound Axles, 6 on 5-1/2 # AKHD-655-6-K has a # 25580 inner bearing, # 15123 outer bearing, # 25520 inner race and # 15245 outer race. The grease inner diameter is 2.25 inches and the outer diameter is 3.376 inches. I have attached a link that will take you to our available hub and drum assemblies with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern for you to look through.

Then for 12 inch electric brakes, I recommend the etrailer.com Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA for 5.2K to 7K axles. These are self adjusting brakes that use a 5 bolt mounting flange bolt pattern. The kit includes both the left hand and right hand brake assemblies.
