Replacement Powered Jack Recommendation to Replace Jack that Was Over-Extended and Damaged  

Question:

My grandson raise jack to far it stopped working, continued trip with manual wrench got home replaced fuse. jack motor works but it sound like it stripped gears it doesnt raise or lower foot plate and now the manual wrench doesnt seem to work every time. any ideas?

Sounds like you over extended the jack which can damage the gears. The problem is that some jacks like this one will allow you to over extend them and damage the threads.

Does the manual wrench seem hard to operate like the gears are damaged or cross-threaded? If so, that would mean what I mentioned happened and it's time for a new jack.

I recommend the etrailer # EJ-3520-WBX since it has a 25" lift plus an additional lift available with an extended "drop foot" available. It's Unlikely you will ever get it jacked up that high. It is rated for 3500 pounds of lift.
