7-Way Recommendation for 2016 Ford F-150 for Using Hopkins Backup Camera
Question:
I have a 2016 supercrew with NO TOW package. I need a tow package with a 7 pin connector for my camera. I saw this on your site.

If your F-150 has the factory round plug located along the drivers side frame rail behind the back bumper, you would use part # 74682. The factory plug will have a dust cover that will need to be removed, and the # 74682 would plug right it.
If your F-150 does not have the round plug, but has a 4-pole connector, part # 37185 can be used. It would plug into the existing 4-pole, with the blue wire attaching the the blue output wire from a brake controller, the black wire attaching to the positive battery terminal via a 40 amp circuit breaker part # 9510. The purple wire is typically used for trailer reverse lights. If needed, it is tapped into the reverse light circuit on the F-150. This would allow you to install the Hopkins 7-way backup camera part # HM50002 that you mentioned.
