Does Curt Hitch 13354 Fit 2009 Acura MDX with 17 inch Spare Tire

Question:

I would like to know if I can still fit my 17 inch spare tire if I purchased the Curt receiver hitch 13354? I see the product description says a full size spare will not fit, but I called the dealership and they told me that a 17 inch spare is not considered a full size spare. But Acuras OEM hitch will still fit a 17 inch spare. I hate to purchase this hitch if I cant have a spare tire stored under the rear part of my SUV. And if i have to purchase another size spare tire, I would have to calculate how much I am spending before I purchase this product. If the 17 inch spare tire will not fit, what size spare tire will fit after the curt hitch is installed? Thank you in advance.

If the 17 inch spare tire you have in mind is not a full-sized spare then the Curt hitch part # 13354 will work with it. Only the full-sized spares can't be used with this hitch. But yours appears to be smaller so it would work.

I attached an install video for the hitch on a 2008 Acura MDX just like yours as well.
