Curt or Equalizer Weight Distribution Recommendation for 30 ft Camper
Question:
Looking to purchase a weight distribution hitch for towing a 30foot camper. Was looking at the C17501 or the EQ3712OET. In your opinion, are there any major pros or cons that would set them apart from each other?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Equalizer weight distribution systems are regarded by many to be the best systems around. I recommend them quite a bit and it would be what I would recommend for you. The part # EQ37120ET would be the better option.
The Curt systems like the part # C17501 aren't terrible systems but they are essentially Curt trying to copy the Equalizer design. We have also had a few issues with the frame brackets of the systems bending so we don't recommend them as high as the Equalizer.
To install the hitch ball you will need a thin walled socket like the part # ALL643216 too.
