Do Lippert Alumi-Tread Steps Use the Same Steel Frame as Other Lippert Steps
Question:
I have a 2013 Montana 3100RL with the original Lippert steel quad-steps. They flex a lot unless fully supported at the bottom step. They have been fixed through a recall by the dealer and Ive had to replace other bolts and broken rivets. Im interested in replacing them with the alumi-treads version. Are the alumi-tread quad steps on a different and hopefully stronger frame, or the same steel frame as Lipperts original steel quad steps? The side frame strength and reliability are my main concerns. Thanks.

The frame on the Alumi-Tread steps # LC432698 is the same steel frame used on other Lippert steps. You might want to look at the TorkLift GlowStep, # TLA8004 for a 27-7/16 inch base or # TLA8104 for a 25-7/16 inch space. TorkLift products are beefy and well made. Plus both of these models come with their own landing gear to support the steps at the bottoms. I have linked a video review for you.
