Recommended Actuator For Trailer That Will Work With EOM Brake Controller On 2013 Ford F-150

Question:

I have Rockwood Trailer 32, about 6200 pounds wet, I would have to figure out what axles I have, it does have 14inch wheels 4. Tow vehicle is 2013 Ford F150 with tow package. My question is will the ford brake control work the new Actuator I will have to install? Also, does Actuator get power from tow vehicle or trailer batteries, or both?

The Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator I recommend for you that will work with your Ford OEM brake controller is part # HBA16. This actuator is designed for disc brakes.

I have attached a drawing that shows how the actuator wiring is run when installing the actuator. It receives its power from the towing vehicle via the trailer wiring.

I have attached links to a couple of helpful articles that explain what is needed to add disc brakes to a trailer.
