Since you have a hitch rated for 10,000 lbs, you should have no problem towing the trailer you mentioned. I do recommend you see if there is a tongue weight rating on the hitch so you are confirmed to stay within your limits.

For a weight distribution system, I can give you an educated guess for the best system. Weight distribution systems are based on total tongue weight, so I'll walk you through my reasoning for a recommendation. Total tongue weight is the weight of the loaded trailer tongue weight along with any cargo weight behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle. The loaded tongue weight of a trailer is usually between 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight. I'll assume 15% for this recommendation and 8000 lbs as your loaded trailer weight, so that will also help us account for any cargo weight behind the rear axle of your motorhome. That gives us a total tongue weight of 1200 lbs that we want to fall in the middle of the weight distribution system range.

Based on this info, I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37140ET. This system has a total tongue weight rating between 1,000 and 1,400 lbs. This system comes with the hitch ball needed but you will need a thin walled socket like # ALL643216 for the installation.
