Trailer wiring harness # C56332
is designed to fit a factory tow package on the 2008 Kia Sorento. It is possible that the vehicle has the proper connector to plug in the harness but does not have the factory tow package. To determine if the harness has power, you can test it using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993. Have someone sit in the vehicle and activate the various light functions while you test the 4-Way on # C56332. If there is no power at the 4-Way doing this test then your Sorento likely does not have the factory tow package, so the factory harness it plugs into is not active.
If the vehicle did not come with the factory tow package you would need to use a hardwire harness # C59236.
