Compatibility of Curt A20 5th Wheel Hitch C16140 with Husky Base Rails

Question:

I have a 16K husky slider hitch. I have never needed to use the slider to park. It is mounted to my truck bed with the two bed rails. I have upgraded to a larger 5th wheel. Will the Curt A20 mount to my current bed rail set-up? Do you have the measurements for the mounting holes that I could measure? Would this be a good choice of 5th wheel hitch upgrades?

Expert Reply:

5th wheel base rails are standardized so if you have had a Husky 5th wheel hitch installed you can easily drop in any other industry-standard 5th wheel hitch. Hitches and rails do not need to be from the same brand in order to work together. A Curt hitch will fit just fine in a set of Husky rails.

The Curt A20 fixed 5th wheel hitch # C16140 is a great choice for a long bed pickup. The A20 has dual jaws that provide a full 360-degrees of king pin contact for a secure connection with less rattle. The fully articulating cushioned head means easier hitching and less road shock and the hitch includes a lube plate for a smoother hitching process.
