How to Select Replacement Shank for WD System on 2017 Ford F-350
Question:
We just got a new Ford 2017 F-350. The new truck is higher off the ground than my old F-250. What is the correct way to measure for a new WD shank?

You can refer to the linked article on standard ball mounts for help in determining the correct replacement shank for your weight distribution system. Just take note of the brand of WD system you are using and choose a new shank with the additional drop you need to keep your trailer level when hitched to your new taller 2017 Ford F-350. We offer 2-1/2-inch and 2-inch replacement shanks for many brands that you can see on the linked pages.
You will want to use a shank from the same maker as your WD system to ensure compatibility. For example, for a 2-inch shank for a Curt system you could use part # C17123 which offers up to 8-1/4-inches of drop depending on your bar type.
