Recommended Fixed Ball Mount With Drop For 6,500-Lb Trailer
Question:
I have to my ball on 2017 F250 SD about 3 inches below the receiver to match coupler height of 27 foot camper 6500lbs camper. Is there a amount inches below receiver height that it becomes unsafe or does it not matter? Thank you

Towing the trailer level is the more important thing to keep in mind. If you have a ball mount that has a rise or drop and is rated for the tongue weight of the trailer you are hauling it is fine.
A nice ball mount that will take care of the 3-inch drop you need is part # C45230. This ball mount has a 3-5/8 inch drop and has a towing capacity of 7,500-lbs.
