There are a few things you need when you are flat-towing your 2015 Sonic. You will need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for your Sonic, a high-low adapter, and most states now require a supplemental brake system.
The tow bar I recommend is the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part # RM-520. The installation instructions are attached. I have attached a link to an installation video for this tow bar. Although it is a different vehicle, the installation would be similar for your Sonic.
The base plates I recommend for your Sonic is the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit, part # RM-523173-5. I have attached a link to an installation video for these base plates on a Sonic you can check out.
For safety cables I recommend part # RM-643.
for lighting I recommend part # RM-155. You will also need a fuse bypass, part # RM76511. Check your owner's manual to find out which fuse or fuses should be pulled.
For a supplemental brake system I recommend part # SM99251.
You want to tow your Sonic so that it is as level as possible so you can use a high-low adapter. I have attached a link to the adapters we have available. I also attached some helpful articles about flat-towing you can check out.
