Recommended Hitch-Mounted Carrier to Transport Zuma F50 Scooter with Honda Element
Question:
I have a Honda Element, and need to transport two scooters, the first a Vino Classic which should fit inside the element. The other a 2015 Zuma F50. I do have a class 3 hitch on the car. What do you recommend to transport it safely?

To transport your Yamaha Zuma F50 Scooter using the Class III Trailer Hitch on your Honda Element, I recommend using the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033. This is a heavy-duty, hitch-mounted carrier that is designed specifically for transporting scooters and dirt bikes. A great feature is the 37 1/2 inch long built-in ramp that makes for easy loading.
This carrier features a 5 inch track width and has a total length of 77 inches.
I believe the Yamaha Zuma F50 to be around 200 pounds, so you will just want to keep in mind its weight plus the weight of the carrier itself (50 pounds) in order to stay under both the hitch and vehicle's weight capacity. The tongue weight capacity of your Class III trailer hitch is most likely around 350 pounds, but I suggest also checking the sticker with these capacities listed on the hitch itself to confirm.
I also recommend checking the owner's manual of your Honda Element for its tongue weight capacity. You will need to follow whichever rating, the hitch or the vehicle, is the lowest.
