Will Reese Titan Shank RP54997 Work With Reese Strait Line System RP66074
Question:
I have inherited a Resse shank part number 54997 and was wondering if that could be used with Reese 66704 as it lists both 2 and 2 1/2 hitches and i plan to use my 2012 silverado hd with a 2 1/2inch hitch.

Yes, the Reese weight distribution shank part # RP54997 that you referenced will fit the Strait Line system part # RP66074 that you also referenced.
Luckily the weight distribution shanks made by nearly all manufacturers use the same bracket hole dimensions so the shanks and systems are pretty interchangeable.
