Recommended Trailer Hitch and Ball Mount for 2012 Acura MDX
Question:
Hello, I am looking to purchase a Curt trailer hitch for my 2012 Acura MDX. Do you offer a pre-torqued ball/ball mount/pin option rather than just the separate components? Thanks!

I have a great solution for you.
First for a trailer hitch, The Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # 13354 is a great option. No drilling will be required during installation, however keep in mind that the heat shields will need to be removed and reinstalled. This 2 inch hitch opening will provide a 400 pound tongue weight capacity and 4,000 pound towing capacity, although you will also want to check the vehicle's capacities as listed in the owner's manual. I have attached an installation video on your vehicle for you to review.
Then for a hitch ball and ball mount, I recommend looking at the Fastway Self-Locking, Adjustable, Aluminum Ball Mount # DTALBM6600. This adjustable ball mount actually includes two built-in hitch balls (2 inch and 2-5/16 inch) and provides a maximum drop of 6 inches or maximum rise of 7 inches. This ball mount also has a self-locking system that will lock both the ball mount to the trailer hitch receiver tube and the ball platform to the ball mount. I have attached a video demonstration of this product so you can see how it works.
I have also included a link that will take you to our available ball mount selection as well as a helpful article that details how to choose the right one for your setup.
Then for wiring, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56038 to provide a 4-way trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. The connector will plug directly into existing wiring so no cutting or splicing is required. I have included the installation details.
