How to fit the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack on a 12.5 x 33 Spare Tire
Question:
I currently have the spare tire thule bike rack, but I put a larger tire on it, which fits the 12.5x33 measurement guideline, but the metric screw that holds it together is too short. It seems to need at least another 3 inches to be able to connect and screw into the grooves. Can you recommend how I can possible get a longer screw to fit into the cap? Thank you

If you had a smaller tire originally on your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and you haven't changed anything on your Thule Spare Me # TH963PRO, then you just need to install some adapters.
What you are looking for is the Replacement Long Mounting Bracket # 752-1425-002 and the Replacement Long Standoff Extension Adapter # 852-3305-001. These 2 adapters will work with the Carriage Bolt # 915-0655-11 so that you can carry the bike rack on a 12.5 x 33 spare tire.
