Recommended Self-Adjusting Drum Brakes For 7,000-Lb Lippert Axle
Question:
I have Lippert 7000K axles on my toy-hauler. I have included a picture of the axle label I found on the axle. I believe they have manually adjustable brakes. Can you verify that by looking at the included label? If they are manual, I would highly prefer that they have auto-adjust brakes. Can you tell me what brake assemblies are needed for the right/left hand conversion, as well the appropriate wheel seals needed? Thanks!

Thank you for sending the photo of the axle label you have on your Lippert axle. It makes it much easier to identify what components are on your axle when looking for replacement parts.
I called my contact at Lippert and they said the axle has 12 x 2 inch electric drum brakes and are manual adjust, so we have just what you are looking for.
I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit, part # AKEBRK-7-SA. This includes both the left and right hand electric self-adjusting brakes and will work great on your axle.
I have attached a link to an installation video for these brakes you can check out.
The grease seals you can use are part # GS-2250DL.
