Can Vehicle Tire And Wheel Be Used On Pop-Up Camper
Question:
Would a four lug wheel and tire from a regular car fit the pop up camper pattern
asked by: Moises D
Expert Reply:
It is not recommended to use a vehicle tire on a trailer or camper because they have weaker sidewalls and can fail.
Trailer wheels typically have a zero offset and vehicle wheels have an offset so there could be clearance issues with that as well. Also, the bolt pattern could be different for the wheel as well. I would stick to trailer wheels and tires on the trailer to be on the safe side. If you let me know what the wheel bolt pattern is on your trailer hubs I will be glad to make some recommendations that will work for you.
