Is Enlarging Holes Required On All Hitch Receivers For 2017 Subaru Forester?
Question:
For a 2017 Subaru Forester. The description for Item# 75876 says No Drilling Required, but the installation demonstration video shows the installer enlarging a hole with a drill. Is there and installation method that does not require drilling?

For your 2017 Subaru Forester, all of the trailer hitch receivers available are custom fit and don't require you to drill into the frame, however every one from either manufacturer, may require enlarging the existing holes using a drill or rotary tool. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75876 you referenced is a very nice rounded tube design with a black powdercoat finish over an e-coat base for superior rust protection and resistance.
If you will be using this hitch receiver for towing, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118467 for a 4-way flat connection. This installs into your factory wiring using a quick connect found in the cargo area of your vehicle either behind the driver's side trim panel or in the spare tire compartment.
For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10037B. This ball mount is adjustable allowing you to tow your trailer level. It also comes with a 2 inch and a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball that will allow you to match the trailer coupler. This ball mount has a really nice stowable feature that will give you a clean look when not in use and save you accidentally bumping into it with your shins when loading or unloading cargo.
