Recommended 4-Way Function In 7-Way Connection On 2004 Acura MDX Touring
Question:
I need a harness for a 2004 Acura MDX touring. I would like to get a 7 pin that will mount to my frame or hitch, though I dont have the need for electric brakes yet. Is there a harness for this truck that is 7 pin that is plug and play for at least the standard 4 pins like the 4 pin harness?

Expert Reply:
For your 2004 Acura MDX touring, I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118336 along with the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole w/Test Lamps # C57674. The 4-way harness will plug into your vehicle with a quick connect found behind the driver's side trim panel in the lower cargo area. This 4-way can be run under the vehicle to the trailer hitch receiver, and connected to the Curt 7-way adapter which will allow you to use the 4-way or the 7-way for those basic trailer functions. This adapter will allow you to install a brake controller and connect the remaining functions at a later date using # 5506. You will need to attach the white ground wire for proper 4-way function. You can use the No-Drill Mount Bracket, Long # C57202 to help you attach the 7-way to your hitch or frame as desired.
