Question:
Can you recommend a set of weight distribution hook up brackets for a 2016 down 2 earth landscape trailer. Not sure about the brand of hitch. Maybe something universal.

The replacement brackets we currently have available are designed to work with specific brand or model weight distribution systems. If you already have a weight distribution system and are just needing replacement brackets, there should be a manufacturer listed somewhere on the system. For example, the Reese Replacement Lift Brackets # RP6637 are designed for use with Reese weight-distribution systems. I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of replacement brackets for you to look over.
If you are needing a complete weight distribution system, I can also help you with this. In order to determine the best system to use, the most important factor to consider is the total tongue weight of your setup. This will include the loaded tongue weight of your Down 2 Earth Landscape Trailer along with any added weight behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. You will want this number to fall somewhere around the middle of the ideal weight distribution system's weight capacity range. An easy way to determine the tongue weight of your trailer is to use a scale like the etrailer # e99044.
The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET has a tongue weight capacity range of 600-1,000 pounds. This system will help to evenly distribute weight over the axles of the tow vehicle and trailer for added stability and control.
I have attached a link that will take you to our selection of weight distribution systems. From there you can choose the tongue weight of your setup to get a list of systems that will work great. I have also included a helpful article on weight distribution systems for you to review.
