Do I Need to Have My 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Reconfigured When Installing a Wiring Harness

when installing your trailer hitch and wiring harness on a 2017 jeep cherokee limited, will I have to have the jeep dealer reflash the system or can i just remove the battery for a few minutes?
