Will Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65061 Fit a 2010 Ford F-150 Platinum Super Crew

Question:

I saw your answer for the guy with the 2010 King Ranch and a Draw-Tite #65054 front hitch. How about a 2010 Platinum Super Crew? Will I have to cut anything? Does it just bolt in? I assume I can use this for a winch carrier, etc.?

The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 65061, will fit a 2010 Ford F-150 Platinum edition Super Crew. There is some cutting required on the plastic air dam to allow the hitch to fit properly. I have included a link to the installation instructions that shows the area that needs to be trimmed.

This hitch would work great from mounting a winch. It has a tongue weight capacity of 500 pounds or the front gross axle weight rating, which ever is lower. It also has a 9,000 pound maximum line pull. If you need a winch mounting plate, I recommend the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate with Handles # BDW20011. This plate will fit numerous winch makes and models, it has the standard 10" x 4.5" bolt pattern.
