Which Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit will Fit on a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Crew Cab Diesel
Question:
I have a 2010 Dodge 2500 4x4 Crew Cab no overload springs and the Cummins engine. I also have a Reese 16K fifth wheel hitch and rails. What bracket kit and hardware kit do I need to install my hitch? Is it the RP50140 or RP50040 bracket kit?

Expert Reply:
The Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit, item # RP50140, is the correct installation kit for your 2010 Dodge 2500 Crew Cab 4x4. The Custom Installation Kit, item # RP50040 is not designed for the 2010 Crew Cab trucks.
Since you have a set of rails with your existing Reese rails will need the # RP50140 install kit along with the above bed rail installation hardware, item # RP58430, to install the rails to the custom below bed bracket kit.
If you would like a complete installation kit with rails the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit, item # RP50140-58, that you referenced would be the correct kit for your truck.
