You can order online and we can ship to any address in Austin, but we do not have offices or a store located there.
For your 2014 BMW X1, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75761 trailer hitch receiver. This is a square tube design and I've attached an installation video for you. This installation will require the backup sensors to be disconnected for installation and then reconnected following install. You will need a plastic rivet gun from a local hardware store for this installation as well. I've attached the installation details for you.
If you will be towing with this hitch, I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT for your wiring. This kit will allow you to add 4-way flat trailer wiring to your vehicle without splicing or cutting wires. The modulite will be powered directly by your battery and zero-contact-interface sensors will capture the signal from your factory wires.
For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10037B. This ball mount is adjustable to help you tow a trailer level. It has 2 hitch ball options so you will have the correct size ball available for your trailer coupler, and it has a very nice stow feature that gives your vehicle a clean look and protects your shins when not in use. I also suggest a hitch lock like # e98882 to protect your investment.
