Weight Distribution Shank for a 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch
Question:
Just got a used camper has a 2shank. My truck has a 2 1/2 inch receiver. The head or distribution system is 2also do they make a direct shank to fit both truck and head. If so what would reccomed.

There are several weight distribution shanks that will fit a 2-1/2 inch hitches and that taper in where the head attaches so that you can still use the same head. Shank # EQ90-02-4900 is one example. The holes where the head mounts are 3/4 inches in diameter and spaced 1-1/4 inches apart on center. It has a 10 inch rise or 6 inch drop. To determine the amount of rise or drop needed you can follow the ball mount measuring technique explained in the linked help article.
