Will the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver and the Swagman XTC2 Work on Lowered Mustang GT
Question:
I have a 2015 Mustang GT that has been lowered with Steeda Progressive lowering springs. It lowered the Front - 1.125” and Rear - 1.0”. Will the Draw-Tite 24928 Hitch with a Swagman XTC2 bike rack work on my lowered car and not have clearance issues?

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24928 has 8-1/2 inches of clearance from the ground to the top of the receiver on a normal Mustang. This means that for your 2015 Ford Mustang GT that will measure 7-1/2 inches since you have it lowered 1 inch on the rear end. I did some measuring and it looks like you will only have 5-3/4 inches from the ground to the lowest point of the hitch (the safety cable loops).
Since the Swagman XTC2 # S64670 has a rise in the shank, this bike rack will fit and work well on your lowered Mustang. I recommend using the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks # S64031 as well to help secure and deter theft of your bike(s) and bike rack.
Please keep in mind that this setup will work well on a level piece of ground. Since your Mustang GT is lowered, the hitch and possibly the bike rack itself could hit the ground when you are entering some driveways and the like.
I have attached some demonstration videos for you to review as well.
