What he will need to do is to use an appropriate sized socket and wrench on the end of the rod located above the electric motor on Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit for Single-Speed Jacks, # BD1824200100. He will also most likely need an extension in order to be able to turn the wrench a full 360 degrees and not make contact with the electric motor.
